We understand that paying for treatment upfront can be expensive and difficult for many families, especially when you have multiple family members and large treatment plans.
Here at the McArthur Dental Centre, We do Direct Billing for you.

What does that mean?  
It means that when you come in for your appointment, we will be able to bill your insurance company directly! You no longer have to wait for your insurance company to reimburse you. As a result, you will only be required to pay the necessary deductibles and percentages that are not covered! You will also be responsible for submitting any portion not covered by your primary insurance to your secondary insurance.

How does it work?
The dental claim will be sent electronically to your primary insurance on the day of your appointment. You will be expected to pay any difference on the date of your appointment if coverage details are provided. If the insurance company does not respond with specific coverage details, your credit card will be charged on the date we receive payment from the insurance, and a receipt will be mailed/emailed to you.

A valid credit card MUST be kept on file for the assignment of benefits. It will be your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your credit card information i.e., expiry dates. In the event, the credit card is declined a $40.00 administration fee will be added to your account and no further assignment of benefits will be granted.

Please note: Credit card information is securely stored in payment card industry (PCI) compliant software.

• We offer dental financing with DentalCard iFinance. Dentalcard offers a variety of ways you can pay for your dental services. You can choose to finance the full amount, or a portion. Your equal monthly payments can also be customized to suit your budget; payment options range from 6 months to 6 years. 

• Financial arrangements can also be made for some treatments to create an interest-free, flexible payment plan that is tailored to your needs.

When you book an appointment with us, we reserve that time specifically for you to see the dentist or hygienist. As such, we require two business days (48 hours) notice in the event an appointment must be changed or canceled. This allows other patients awaiting treatment to be rescheduled into the time slot initially reserved for you. Short notice cancellations (i.e. less than 48 hours' notice) and missed appointments will be subject to a broken appointment fee, in the amount of $40, charged directly to the credit card on file. This fee will be used as a donation to sponsor a child through Plan Canada as well as a support CHEO. Life happens and we understand that sometimes you just can’t make it for a valid reason. Your credit card will not be charged for a first offense if it is for a valid reason.

As a courtesy to our patients, we offer the EDI system that allows us to process your dental claim electronically. Therefore, our patients can receive their payments from their insurance company much sooner (i.e. 2-5 days)! Sometimes even the same day if you are set up for a direct deposit.
